When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Mecca in the year of Hudaybiyyah, he passed by the Quraysh as they were sitting in the Council House. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "These people have been saying that you are weakened by fever, so when you enter, jog briskly during the first three circuits."When they entered, they jogged the first three circuits.The polytheists said, "Are these the ones we were saying are weakened? They were not satisfied with walking, they actually broke into a run."
حدثنا وكيع عن ابن أبي ليلى عن الحكم عن مقسم
لما قدم رسول الله ﷺ مكة عام الحديبية مر بقريش وهم جلوس في دار الندوة فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن هؤلاء قد تحدثوا أنكم هزلى فارملوا إذا قدمتم ثلاثا قال فلما قدموا رملوا ثلاثا قال فقال المشركون أهؤلاء الذين نتحدث أن بهم هزلا ما رضي هؤلاء بالمشي حتى سعوا سعيا
