Ibn Abbas wrote to him saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The defendant has the greater right to take the oath."
حدثنا وكيع عن محمد بن سليم
أن ابن عباس كتب إليه قال رسول الله ﷺ المدعى عليه أولى باليمين
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Muhammad bin Sulaym is Abu Hilal Rasibi, whose reliability was established earlier at 547, and the hadith is an abridged version of 3292.
