Nafi reported,
Umar 
extended the mosque from the pillar up to the enclosure, and Uthman also extended it. Umar said, "Had I not heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'We ought to expand our mosque,' I would not have extended it."

Its chain of transmission is daif due to a break in it, since Nafi, the freedman of Ibn Umar, did not meet Umar or Uthman.Hammad Khayyat is Hammad bin Khalid. Abdullah is Ibn Umar bin Hafs bin Asim bin Umar bin Khattab.
