I said to Ibn Abbas, "I prayed the noon prayer behind a foolish old man, and he made twenty-two takbirs in it, saying takbir each time he prostrated and each time he raised his head from prostration."Ibn Abbas replied, "May you lose your mother! That is the practice of Abu Qasim ﷺ."

قلت لابن عباس صليت خلف شيخ أحمق صلاة الظهر فكبر فيها ثنتين وعشرين تكبيرة يكبر إذا سجد وإذا رفع رأسه من السجود فقال ابن عباس لا أم لك تلك سنة أبي القاسم ﷺ
