The Prophet ﷺ had a ring made and wore it. Then he said, "This has distracted me from you today. One glance goes to it and another to you." Then he threw it away.
حدثنا عثمان بن عمر أخبرنا مالك بن مغول عن سليمان الشيباني عن سعيد بن جبير
أن النبي ﷺ اتخذ خاتما فلبسه ثم قال شغلني هذا عنكم منذ اليوم إليه نظرة وإليكم نظرة ثم رمى به
Its isnad is sahih. Malik bin Mughul, with the mim vowelled with a kasra, the ghayn unvowelled, and the waw vowelled with a fatha, Ibn Aasim Bajali Kufi, is trustworthy and firmly established in hadith, as Ahmad said, a righteous man distinguished in excellence, as Ajli said.
