The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You hear, and others will hear from you, and others will hear from those who heard from you."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا أبو بكر عن الأعمش عن عبد الله بن عبد الله عن سعيد بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ تسمعون ويسمع منكم ويسمع ممن يسمع منكم
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr is Ibn Ayyash. Abdullah bin Abdullah is Abu Jafar Razi, the judge of Rayy, previously mentioned in 646. The meaning is that the companions listen to and learn from their imam, the teacher of goodness ﷺ, and those who follow them, the successors, listen to them and learn what they learned, then their students, the scholars and imams, listen to them, and so on, in fulfillment of the trust and in conveying the message.
