Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar reported,

Umar was a jealous man. Whenever he went out to prayer, Atikah bint Zayd would follow him. He disliked her going out, yet he also disliked preventing her, and he used to relate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When your women ask your permission to go to the prayer, do not prevent them."

عن سالم بن عبد الله قال

كان عمر رجلا غيورا فكان إذا خرج إلى الصلاة اتبعته عاتكة ابنة زيد فكان يكره خروجها ويكره منعها وكان يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا استأذنتكم نساؤكم إلى الصلاة فلا تمنعوهن
