Abu Ubayd reported,

I witnessed the Eid with Umar bin Khattab . He came and prayed, then left and addressed the people, saying, "These are two days on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting. One is the day you break your fast, and the other is the day on which you eat from your sacrifices."

قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن عن مالك عن ابن شهاب

عن أبي عبيد مولى ابن أزهر أنه قال

شهدت العيد مع عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه فجاء فصلى ثم انصرف فخطب الناس فقال إن هذين يومان نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن صيامهما يوم فطركم من صيامكم والآخر يوم تأكلون فيه من نسككم
