I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not kill your children secretly, for ghayl overtakes the horseman and throws him down from his horse."Ali reported from Asma bint Yazid al-Ansariyyah, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said something similar.
حدثنا أبو المغيرة وعلي بن عياش قالا ثنا محمد بن مهاجر قال حدثني أبي
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تقتلوا أولادكم سرا فإن الغيل يدرك الفارس فيدعثره من فوق فرسه قال علي أسماء بنت يزيد الأنصارية قالت قال رسول الله ﷺ فذكر مثله
