An aunt of his came to the Prophet ﷺ with a need, and after she had finished presenting it, he asked her, "Are you married?"She replied, "Yes."He asked, "How are you with him?"Yala said, the wording was, "How do you treat him?"She answered, "I fall short in nothing except what I am unable to do."He said, "Consider carefully where you stand with him, for he is your paradise and your hellfire."
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون حدثنا يحيى ويعلى قال حدثنا يحيى عن بشير بن يسار
أن عمة له أتت النبي ﷺ في حاجة ففرغت من حاجتها فقال لها أذات زوج أنت قالت نعم قال فأين أنت منه قال يعلى فكيف أنت له قالت ما آلوه إلا ما عجزت عنه قال انظري أين أنت منه فإنه جنتك ونارك
Its isnad is sahih. Bashir bin Yasar is al-Harithi, the trustworthy and well-known jurist, and his hadith is found among all six major collectors. Husayn bin Mihsan is a companion, and the hadith was narrated by Humaydi 1/172 no. 255 and Bayhaqi 7/211. Hakim graded it sahih 2/189, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
