Abu Salama and I went to visit Fatimah bint Qays. She said, "My husband divorced me and did not provide me with lodging or maintenance. He left ten measures with a cousin of his for me, five of barley and five of dates. So I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him about it."She said, "He replied, 'He has spoken the truth,' and he instructed me to observe my waiting period at the house of so-and-so."He had divorced her with an irrevocable divorce.

دخلت أنا وأبو سلمة على فاطمة بنت قيس قال فقالت طلقني زوجي فلم يجعل لي سكنى ولا نفقة قالت ووضع لي عشرة أقفزة عند ابن عم له خمسة شعير وخمسة تمر قالت فأتيت رسول الله ﷺ فقلت ذاك له قال فقال صدق فأمرني أن أعتد في بيت فلان قال وكان طلقها طلاقا بائنا
