The Prophet ﷺ came hurrying one day, climbed the pulpit, and called the people to a congregational prayer. When the people had gathered, he said, "People, I did not summon you because of some hope or fear that has come upon me. Rather, Tamim al-Dari has informed me that some people from Palestine sailed the sea, and the wind drove them to one of the islands of the sea. There they came upon a beast so covered in hair that they could not tell whether it was male or female.They asked, 'Who are you?'It replied, 'I am al-Jassasah.'They said, 'Tell us about things.'It answered, 'I will neither tell you anything nor ask you anything. But in this monastery there is a man who longs to tell you and to question you.'So they entered the monastery, and there was a man, blind and bound in iron chains.He asked, 'Who are you?'We said, 'We are Arabs.'He asked, 'Has the Prophet ﷺ been sent among you?'We answered, 'Yes.'He asked, 'Have the Arabs followed him?'They said, 'Yes.'He said, 'That is better for them.'He then asked, 'What has happened to Persia? Has he prevailed over it?'They replied, 'He has not prevailed over it yet.'He said, 'He will surely prevail over it.'Then he asked, 'What has happened to the spring of Zughar?'They said, 'It is gushing and full.'He asked, 'What has happened to the lake of Tiberias?'They replied, 'It is overflowing and full.'He asked, 'What has happened to the palm trees of Baysan? Have they yet borne fruit?'They said, 'Their first fruits have already come.'Then he leapt up so violently that we thought he would break free. We said, 'Who are you?'He answered, 'I am the Dajjal. I shall tread upon every part of the earth except Makkah and Taybah.'"Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Rejoice, company of Muslims, for this is Taybah, which the Dajjal cannot enter."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال أخبرنا داود عن عامر
أن النبي ﷺ جاء ذات يوم مسرعا فصعد المنبر فنودي في الناس الصلاة جامعة واجتمع الناس فقال يا أيها الناس إني لم أدعكم لرغبة نزلت ولا لرهبة ولكن تميما الداري أخبرني أن ناسا من أهل فلسطين ركبوا البحر فقذفتهم الريح إلى جزيرة من جزائر البحر فإذا هم بدابة أشعر لا يدرى أذكر أم أنثى من كثرة شعره فقالوا من أنت فقالت أنا الجساسة قالوا فأخبرينا قالت ما أنا بمخبرتكم ولا بمستخبرتكم ولكن في هذا الدير رجل فقير إلى أن يخبركم ويستخبركم فدخلوا الدير فإذا رجل ضرير ومصفد في الحديد فقال من أنتم قلنا نحن العرب قال هل بعث فيكم النبي ﷺ قلنا نعم قال فهل اتبعه العرب قالوا نعم قال ذاك خير لهم قال ما فعلت فارس هل ظهر عليها قالوا لم يظهر عليها بعد قال أما إنه سيظهر عليها ثم قال ما فعلت عين زغر قالوا هي تدفق ملأى قال فما فعلت بحيرة طبرية قالوا هي تدفق ملأى قال فما فعلت نخل بيسان هل أطعم بعد قالوا قد أطعم أوائله قال فوثب وثبة ظننا أنه سيفلت فقلنا من أنت قال أنا الدجال أما إني سأطأ الأرض كلها غير مكة وطيبة فقال رسول الله ﷺ أبشروا معشر المسلمين فإن هذه طيبة لا يدخلها الدجال
