Asma bint Abu Bakr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the prayer during an eclipse. She said, "He prolonged the standing, then bowed and prolonged the bowing, then stood and prolonged the standing, then bowed and prolonged the bowing, then rose and prolonged the standing, then prostrated and prolonged the prostration, then rose, then prostrated and prolonged the prostration, then stood and prolonged the standing, then bowed and prolonged the bowing, then rose and prolonged the standing, then bowed and prolonged the bowing, then rose, then prostrated and prolonged the prostration, then rose, then prostrated and prolonged the prostration."Then he finished and said, "Paradise was brought so close to me that, had I dared, I could have brought you a cluster of its fruit. And the Fire was brought so close to me that I said, 'My Lord, am I to be among them?' Then suddenly there was a woman."Nafi said, "I think he said, a cat was scratching her."He said, "I asked, 'What is the matter with this woman?' I was told, 'She confined her until it died. She neither fed it nor released it to eat from the creatures of the earth.'"

حدثنا موسى بن داود قال حدثنا نافع يعني ابن عمر عن ابن أبي مليكة

عن أسماء بنت أبي بكر قالت

صلى رسول الله ﷺ في الكسوف قالت فأطال القيام ثم ركع فأطال الركوع ثم قام فأطال القيام ثم ركع فأطال الركوع ثم رفع فأطال القيام ثم سجد فأطال السجود ثم رفع ثم سجد فأطال السجود ثم قام فأطال القيام ثم ركع فأطال الركوع ثم رفع فأطال القيام ثم ركع فأطال الركوع ثم رفع ثم سجد فأطال السجود ثم رفع ثم سجد فأطال السجود ثم انصرف فقال دنت مني الجنة حتى لو اجترأت لجئتكم بقطاف من قطافها ودنت مني النار حتى قلت يا رب وأنا معهم وإذا امرأة قال نافع حسبت أنه قال تخدشها هرة قلت ما شأن هذه قيل لي حبستها حتى ماتت لا هي أطعمتها ولا هي أرسلتها تأكل من خشاش الأرض
