I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever among you women believes in Allah and the Last Day must not raise her head until we raise ours, lest she see the private parts of the men because of the smallness of their lower garments." At that time they used to wrap themselves in those striped cloaks.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا معمر قال أخبرني عبد الله بن مسلم أخو الزهري عن مولى لأسماء بنت أبي بكر
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول من كان منكن يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا ترفع رأسها حتى نرفع رءوسنا كراهة أن يرين عورات الرجال لصغر أزرهم وكانوا إذ ذاك يأتزرون بهذه النمرة
