I asked Ibn Abbas about tamattu in Hajj, and he permitted it, while Ibn Zubayr used to forbid it. Ibn Abbas said, "This is the mother of Ibn Zubayr herself, who reports that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted it. Go in to her and ask her."So we went in to her, and there was a large, blind woman. She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted it."
