My mother came to visit me during the period of Quraysh's treaty with the Prophet ﷺ, and she was still a polytheist. So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, my mother has come to me hoping for my kindness. Should I maintain ties with her?"He replied, "Yes, maintain ties with your mother."
حدثنا ابن نمير قال حدثنا هشام عن أبيه
قدمت علي أمي وهي مشركة في عهد قريش إذ عاهدوا فأتيت النبي ﷺ فقلت يا رسول الله إن أمي قدمت وهي راغبة أفأصلها قال نعم صلي أمك
