My mother came to me during the period of the truce with Quraysh while she was a polytheist and was eager, meaning in need. So I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ,"Messenger of Allah, my mother has come to me as a polytheist seeking my help. Should I maintain ties with her?"He replied, "Yes, maintain ties with your mother."
