A woman said, "I used to let my hem trail along the ground, passing over filthy places and clean places. So I went to Umm Salama and asked her about this."Umm Salama replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'What comes after it purifies it.'"

Its isnad is daif because of the anonymity of the mother of the child of Ibrahim bin Abdul-Rahman. He said in Taqrib, "I have not been able to determine her name." The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud (1/104, no. 383), Tirmidhi (1/266, no. 143), and Malik (1/24, no. 16), all in the chapter on purification.
