Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank, he would breathe twice during the drink.Ubayy wrote following this hadith, "I do not think Abdullah heard this hadith."

Its chain of transmission is daif. Saeed bin Muhammad al-Warraq al-Thaqafi, the teacher of Ahmad, is daif. Ahmad said, "He was not up to much." They have also reported from him, via Yahya bin Saeed, from Urwa, from Ayesha, a munkar hadith about morning drowsiness. Ibn Main, Ibn Saad, and others declared him daif. Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 2/1/471 and said, "Ibn Main said he is nothing." Similarly in al-Saghir 220. Nasai said in al-Duafa, "He is not trustworthy."However, he was not the sole narrator of this hadith. Tirmidhi related it in 2:13 through Isa bin Yunus, and Ibn Majah in 2:175 through Marwan bin Muawiya, both of them from Rushdin bin Kurayb. It will also come again in the narration of Isa bin Yunus, 2578. Tirmidhi said, "This is a gharib hadith" (in some copies, "a hasan gharib hadith"), "we do not know it except through the hadith of Rushdin bin Kurayb." He said, "I asked Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman" (meaning Darimi) "about Rushdin bin Kurayb. I said, 'Is he stronger, or Muhammad bin Kurayb?' He said, 'They are very close, but Rushdin bin Kurayb is, in my view, the stronger of the two.' I also asked Muhammad bin Ismail" (meaning Bukhari) "about this, and he said, 'Muhammad bin Kurayb is stronger than Rushdin bin Kurayb.' But the correct view, in my opinion, is what Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman said, that Rushdin bin Kurayb is the stronger and greater of the two." He met Ibn Abbas and saw him. The two of them were brothers, and both have munkar reports attributed to them. This Rushdin was declared daif by Ibn Main, Ibn Madini, Abu Zura, Abu Hatim, and others. Bukhari gave his biography in al-Kabir 2/1/308 and said, "He has munkar reports." And in al-Saghir 163 he said, "His hadith is munkar, and there is doubt about Muhammad." Nasai mentioned him in al-Duafa, 12, "His hadith is daif," not Saeed al-Warraq, the teacher of Ahmad. This hadith is among those that Abdullah found in his father's handwriting, and his father had noted alongside it that he judged his son Abdullah had not heard it directly from him.
