A Jewish woman came to visit me and mentioned the punishment of the grave, but I disbelieved her. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me, and I asked him about it.He said, "She spoke the truth. By the One in whose hand is my soul, they are indeed punished in their graves with a punishment so severe that the animals can hear their cries."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي وائل عن مسروق
دخلت علي يهودية فذكرت عذاب القبر فكذبتها فدخل علي رسول الله ﷺ فسألته فقال صدقت والذي نفسي بيده إنهم ليعذبون في قبورهم حتى تسمع أصواتهم البهائم
