I asked, "Messenger of Allah, 'Those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful' [Muminun 23:60], does this refer to a man who commits adultery, steals, and drinks wine?"He replied, "No, Bint Abu Bakr," or he said, "No, daughter of al-Siddiq. Rather, it is the man who fasts, prays, and gives in charity, yet fears that it will not be accepted from him."
