The Prophet ﷺ heard some voices and asked, "What are these sounds?"They replied, "Messenger of Allah, it is the date palms being pollinated."He said, "It would be fine even if they did not do that."So they did not pollinate the palms that year, and the dates came out poor and shriveled. They mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "When it concerns a matter of your worldly affairs, you know it best, but when it concerns a matter of your religion, then refer it to me."
حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال أخبرنا ثابت عن أنس وهشام بن عروة عن عروة
أن النبي ﷺ سمع أصواتا فقال ما هذه الأصوات قالوا النخل يؤبرونه يا رسول الله فقال لو لم يفعلوا لصلح فلم يؤبروا عامئذ فصار شيصا فذكروا ذلك للنبي ﷺ فقال إذا كان شيئا من أمر دنياكم فشأنكم به وإذا كان شيئا من أمر دينكم فإلي
