Salama bint Suhayl bin Amr suffered from prolonged menstrual bleeding, so she came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about it. He instructed her to perform a full bath before every prayer. When this became too burdensome for her, he instructed her to combine Zuhr and Asr with one bath, Maghrib and Isha with one bath, and Fajr with another bath.
