Ayesha reported,

She said, "I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughing so heartily" — Muawiya said, "laughing" — "that I could see his uvula. He would only smile."She also said, "Whenever he saw a cloud or felt a wind, that would show on his face."She said, "Messenger of Allah, when people see a cloud they rejoice, hoping that it will bring rain, but I see that when you notice it, displeasure shows on your face."She said that he replied, "Ayesha, what assurance do I have that it does not contain a punishment? A people were punished by the wind, and a people saw the punishment and said, 'This is a cloud bringing us rain' [Ahqaf 46:24]."

حدثنا هارون بن معروف ومعاوية بن عمرو قالا حدثنا ابن وهب قال أخبرنا عمرو أن أبا النضر حدثه عن سليمان بن يسار

عن عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ

أنها قالت ما رأيت رسول الله ﷺ قط مستجمعا ضاحكا قال معاوية ضحكا حتى أرى منه لهواته إنما كان يتبسم وقالت كان إذا رأى غيما أو ريحا عرف ذلك في وجهه قالت يا رسول الله الناس إذا رأوا الغيم فرحوا رجاء أن يكون فيه المطر وأراك إذا رأيته عرفت في وجهك الكراهية قالت فقال يا عائشة ما يؤمني أن يكون فيه عذاب قد عذب قوم بالريح وقد رأى قوم العذاب فقالوا {هذا عارض ممطرنا}
