The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a slave woman commits fornication, flog her. If she commits it again, flog her. If she commits it again, flog her, then sell her, even for a dafir." A dafir is a rope.

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا زنت الأمة فاجلدوها وإن زنت فاجلدوها وإن زنت فاجلدوها ثم بيعوها ولو بضفير والضفير الحبل
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Umara bin Abu Farwa is trustworthy, and his hadith appears in some of the Sunan works. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 4/369 no. 2153 in the Book of Trade, Muslim 3/1329 no. 1703, Abu Dawud 4/160 no. 4469, and Tirmidhi 4/49 no. 1440, all of them in the Book of Punishments.
