Ayesha reported,

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from the Battle of the Trench, he laid down his weapons and bathed. Then Jibreel came to him with dust still on his head and said, "Have you laid down your weapons? By Allah, I have not laid mine down. Go out to them."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Where?"He replied, "There," and pointed toward Banu Qurayza.So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to them.Hisham said, my father told me that they surrendered to the judgment of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who in turn referred the judgment concerning them to Saad.Saad said, "I rule that the fighters be killed, the women and children taken captive, and their wealth divided."Hisham said, my father said, I was told that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You have judged them with the judgment of Allah ."

حدثنا ابن نمير عن هشام قال أخبرني أبي

عن عائشة قالت

لما رجع رسول الله ﷺ من الخندق ووضع السلاح واغتسل فأتاه جبريل عليه السلام وعلى رأسه الغبار قال قد وضعت السلاح فوالله ما وضعتها اخرج إليهم قال رسول الله ﷺ فأين قال هاهنا فأشار إلى بني قريظة فخرج رسول الله ﷺ إليهم قال هشام فأخبرني أبي أنهم نزلوا على حكم رسول الله ﷺ فرد الحكم فيهم إلى سعد قال فإني أحكم أن تقتل المقاتلة وتسبى النساء والذرية وتقسم أموالهم قال هشام قال أبي فأخبرت أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لقد حكمت فيهم بحكم الله عز وجل
