Saad was struck on the Day of the Trench by a man from Quraysh named Hibban bin al-Ariqah, who hit him in the median vein. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pitched a tent for him in the mosque so he could visit him from close by.
حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا هشام عن أبيه
أصيب سعد يوم الخندق رماه رجل من قريش يقال له حبان بن العرقة في الأكحل فضرب عليه رسول الله ﷺ خيمة في المسجد ليعوده من قريب
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it (1/556, no. 463) in the Book of Prayer, Muslim (3/1389, no. 1769) in the Book of Jihad, Abu Dawud (3/186, no. 3101) in the Book of Funerals, and Nasai (2/75, no. 710) in the Book of Mosques.
