We had a curtain on which there was the image of a bird, and anyone entering the house would be faced by it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Ayesha, move this elsewhere, for whenever I come in and see it, I am reminded of worldly life."He also had a velvet cloak whose embroidery, we used to say, was of silk, and we would wear it.

كان لنا ستر فيه تمثال طائر فكان الداخل إذا دخل استقبله فقال لي رسول الله ﷺ يا عائشة حولي هذا فإني كلما دخلت فرأيته ذكرت الدنيا وكانت له قطيفة كنا نقول علمها من حرير فكنا نلبسها
Its isnad is sahih. Azra is Ibn Abdul-Rahman Khuzai, and he is trustworthy, his hadith appears in Muslim, as does that of Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 1/484 no. 374 in Fath, in the chapter on prayer, and Muslim 3/1665 no. 2106 in the chapter on clothing, and Nasai 8/213 no. 5353 in the chapter on adornment.
