A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you are the Messenger of Allah, I pray the five daily prayers, I pay the zakat on my wealth, and I fast the month of Ramadan."The Prophet said, "Whoever dies upon this will be with the prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs on the Day of Resurrection, like this," and he held up two fingers side by side, "so long as he was not disobedient to his parents."
حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق: أخبرنا ابن لهيعة عن عبيد الله بن أبي جعفر، عن عيسى بن طلحة،
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: يا رسول الله، شهدت أن لا إله إلا الله، وأنك رسول الله، وصليت الخمس، وأديت زكاة مالي، وصمت شهر رمضان. فقال النبي: من مات على هذا، كان مع -ما النبيين والصديقين والشهداء يوم القيامة، هكذا - ونصب إصبعيه لم يعق والديه.
