Talq bin Ali reported, "I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he and his companions were building the mosque. It seemed their work did not please him. So I took up the spade and began mixing the clay with it. My handling of the spade and my work seemed to please him, and he said, 'Leave the Hanafi and the clay to him, for he is the most skilled among you in handling clay.'"

جئت إلى النبي ﷺ وأصحابه يبنون المسجد، قال: فكأنه لم يعجبه عملهم، قال: فأخذت المسحاة، فخلقت بها الطين، فكأنه أعجبه أخذي المسحاة وعملي، فقال: دعوا الحنفي والطين، فإنه أضبطكم للطين
