Fadala bin Ubayd reported,

Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the people in prayer, some men would collapse from their standing posture during the prayer out of sheer hunger and need. They were among the People of the Suffah, so much so that the bedouins would say, "These people are insane."When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished the prayer, he would turn to them and say, "If you only knew what awaits you with Allah , you would wish to have even greater need and poverty."Fadala said, "I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on that day."

حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن المقرئ حدثنا حيوة قال أخبرني أبو هانئ عن عمرو بن مالك حدثه أنه سمع

فضالة بن عبيد يقول

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا صلى بالناس خر رجال من قامتهم في الصلاة لما بهم من الخصاصة وهم من أصحاب الصفة حتى يقول الأعراب إن هؤلاء مجانين فإذا قضى رسول الله ﷺ الصلاة انصرف إليهم فقال لهم لو تعلمون ما لكم عند الله عز وجل لأحببتم لو أنكم تزدادون حاجة وفاقة قال فضالة وأنا مع رسول الله ﷺ يومئذ
