The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped on his head while in the state of ihram, due to a headache or some ailment he was suffering from, at a place with water called Lahy Jamal.
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الأنصاري حدثنا هشام يعني ابن حسان حدثنا عكرمة
احتجم رسول الله ﷺ وهو محرم في رأسه من صداع كان به أو شيء كان به بماء يقال لحي جمل
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Muthanna bin Abdullah bin Anas bin Malik Ansari is trustworthy, and his narrations were included by the compilers of the six books. Among his students were also Ibn Madini and Bukhari, and he was given a biography in al-Kabir 1/1/132.
