The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The blood-money paid for a mukatab is proportionate. For the portion he has paid off toward his freedom, the blood-money of a free man applies, and for the portion in which he remains a slave, the blood-money of a slave applies."

قال رسول الله ﷺ يودى المكاتب بقدر ما أدى دية الحر وبقدر ما رق دية العبد
