When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, he stayed with me. He said to me, "Abu Ayub, shall I teach you something?"I replied, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "There is no servant who says in the morning, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise,' except that Allah writes for him ten good deeds, erases ten of his sins, raises him by ten degrees, and it stands for him with Allah equal to freeing ten slaves. He will be in a fortress against Satan until evening. And whoever says it in the evening receives the same."The narrator said, I asked Abu Muhammad, "Did you yourself hear this from Abu Ayub?"He answered, "By Allah, I heard him narrate it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا أبو جعفر المدائني أخبرنا عباد بن العوام عن سعيد بن إياس عن أبي الورد عن أبي محمد الحضرمي
لما قدم رسول الله ﷺ المدينة نزل علي فقال لي يا أبا أيوب ألا أعلمك قال قلت بلى يا رسول الله قال ما من عبد يقول حين يصبح لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد إلا كتب الله له بها عشر حسنات ومحا عنه عشر سيئات وإلا كن له عند الله عدل عشر رقاب محررين وإلا كان في جنة من الشيطان حتى يمسي ولا قالها حين يمسي إلا كذلك قال فقلت لأبي محمد أنت سمعتها من أبي أيوب قال آلله لسمعته من أبي أيوب يحدثه عن رسول الله ﷺ
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Burda is Ibn Thumama, whose hadith is deemed trustworthy in the Sunan works. Abu Muhammad Hadrami is Aflah, the freed slave of Abu Ayub, and he too is trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 16536, as in what follows it.
