We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when food was brought. An Arabi came rushing as though being driven, and reached out to take some, but the Prophet ﷺ caught his hand. Then a Jariya came as though being driven, and stretched out her hand, but the Prophet ﷺ caught her hand as well. The Prophet ﷺ then said, "When you refused to give Satan an opening, he brought this Arabi and this Jariya so that he might make the food lawful for himself, since the name of Allah had not been mentioned over it. In the name of Allah, eat."
