He went to visit Huzaifa bin Yaman in al-Madain, intending to see both him and his sister.Huzaifa asked, "Rubai, what have your people done? Has anyone gone out against the leadership?"He replied, "Yes," and named several individuals. This was during the time when people were marching against Uthman.Huzaifa then said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever separates from the community and demeans the authority of leadership will meet Allah with no honor before Him.'"

أنه أتى حذيفة بن اليمان بالمدائن يزوره ويزور أخته قال فقال حذيفة ما فعل قومك يا ربعي أخرج منهم أحد قال نعم فسمى نفرا وذلك في زمن خروج الناس إلى عثمان فقال حذيفة سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من خرج من الجماعة واستذل الإمارة لقي الله ولا وجه له عنده
