The Sayyid and the Aqib came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, send with us your trustworthy one." Waki once said, "a trustworthy man."He replied, "I will send with you a trustworthy man who is truly trustworthy."The people were eager for this honor, so he sent Abu Ubayda bin al-Jarrah.
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن صلة بن زفر
جاء السيد والعاقب إلى النبي ﷺ فقالا يا رسول الله ابعث معنا أمينك وقال وكيع مرة أمينا قال سأبعث معكم أمينا حق أمين قال فتشرف لها الناس فبعث أبا عبيدة بن الجراح
