Its isnad is daif, and it has a defect. Yazid bin Abdul-Rahman is Abu Khalid Dalani, who is trustworthy as we said at 2137, but he did not hear from Qatada, as Ahmad bin Hanbal and Bukhari both stated explicitly.Qatada heard only four hadiths from Abu Aliyah, which Abu Dawud mentioned in his Sunan 1:80-81, and this is not one of them. Abu Dawud said, "It is a munkar hadith, narrated only by Yazid Abu Khalid Dalani from Qatada." He also said, "I mentioned Dalani's hadith to Ahmad bin Hanbal, and he rebuked me sharply for it, then said, 'What business does Yazid Dalani have inserting himself among the companions of Qatada?'" and he paid no attention to the hadith.See Muntaqa 322, our commentary on Tirmidhi 1:111-113, and Nasb Raya 1:44-45.
