The Prophet ﷺ confirmed the truth of something from the poetry of Umaya, who said,"A man and a bull are beneath one of his right feet, the eagle is for the other, and a lion lies in wait."The Prophet ﷺ said, "He spoke the truth."Umaya also said, "The sun rises at the end of every night, red, its color becoming rosy. It refuses, so it does not rise for us willingly except under compulsion, and otherwise it is whipped."The Prophet ﷺ said, "He spoke the truth."
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد قال عبد الله بن أحمد وسمعته من عبد الله بن محمد قال حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن محمد بن إسحاق عن يعقوب بن عتبة عن عكرمة
أن النبي ﷺ صدق أمية في شيء من شعره فقال رجل وثور تحت رجل يمينه والنسر للأخرى وليث مرصد فقال النبي ﷺ صدق وقال والشمس تطلع كل آخر ليلة حمراء يصبح لونها يتورد تأبى فما تطلع لنا في رسلها إلا معذبة وإلا تجلد فقال النبي ﷺ صدق
