A man reported,

He sought permission to enter upon the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Shall I come in?"The Prophet ﷺ said to his servant girl, "Go out to him, for he does not know how to ask permission properly. Tell him to say, 'Peace be upon you. May I enter?'"He said, I heard him say that, so I said, "Peace be upon you. May I enter?"He gave permission, or he said, so I entered, and I asked, "What have you brought to us?"He replied, "I have brought you nothing but good. I have come to you so that you may worship Allah alone, with no partner." Shuba said, I think he said, "alone, with no partner," "and that you abandon Lat and Uzza, and that you pray five prayers by night and day, and that you fast one month of the year, and that you make pilgrimage to the House, and that you take from the wealth of your rich and return it to your poor."The man asked, "Is there any knowledge left that you do not know?"He said, "Allah has known much good, but among knowledge there is that which none knows except Allah. 'Indeed, Allah has knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.'" [Luqman 31:34]

حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن منصور عن ربعي بن حراش

عن رجل من بني عامر

أنه استأذن على النبي ﷺ فقال أألج فقال النبي ﷺ لخادمه اخرجي إليه فإنه لا يحسن الاستئذان فقولي له فليقل السلام عليكم أدخل قال فسمعته يقول ذلك فقلت السلام عليكم أدخل قال فأذن أو قال فدخلت فقلت بم أتيتنا به قال لم آتكم إلا بخير أتيتكم أن تعبدوا الله وحده لا شريك له قال شعبة وأحسبه قال وحده لا شريك له وأن تدعوا اللات والعزى وأن تصلوا بالليل والنهار خمس صلوات وأن تصوموا من السنة شهرا وأن تحجوا البيت وأن تأخذوا من مال أغنيائكم فتردوها على فقرائكم قال فقال هل بقي من العلم شيء لا تعلمه قال قد علم الله عز وجل خيرا وإن من العلم ما لا يعلمه إلا الله {إن الله عنده علم الساعة وينزل الغيث ويعلم ما في الأرحام وما تدري نفس ماذا تكسب غدا وما تدري نفس بأي أرض تموت إن الله عليم خبير}
