Its chain of transmission is sahih. Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman Ruwasi is reliable, and his hadith is accepted by the group of hadith scholars, and his father is reliable, his hadith accepted by them except for Bukhari. Abdul-Kareem bin Sulayt was accepted as reliable by a group of scholars, while others remained silent about him, and Ibn Hibban deemed him reliable.Haythami mentioned the hadith in 4/49, saying about it, "Abdul-Kareem is obscure, no one has criticized him." He did not note that he appears in Ibn Hibban's Thiqat. The hadith is also found in Tahawi's Mushkil 4/145, and Ibn Hajar mentioned it in Fath 9/230.
