Burayda reported,

A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I gave my mother a Jariya in charity, and she has died, and the Jariya has now returned to me through inheritance."He replied, "Allah has rewarded you, and has returned her to you through inheritance."She said, "My mother died without performing Hajj. Will it suffice if I perform Hajj on her behalf?"He said, "Yes."She said, "My mother owed a month of fasting. Will it suffice if I fast on her behalf?"He said, "Yes."

عن سليمان بن بريدة عن أبيه

أن امرأة أتت النبي ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إني تصدقت على أمي بجارية فماتت وإنها رجعت إلي في الميراث قال آجرك الله ورد عليك في الميراث قالت فإن أمي ماتت ولم تحج فيجزئها أن أحج عنها قال نعم قالت فإن أمي كان عليها صوم شهر فيجزئها أن أصوم عنها قال نعم
