We were with Burayda on a military expedition on a cloudy day, and he said, "Perform the prayer early, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever abandons the afternoon prayer, his deeds are nullified.'"

كنا مع بريدة في غزاة في يوم ذي غيم فقال بكروا بالصلاة فإن رسول الله ﷺ قال من ترك صلاة العصر حبط عمله
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Malih is Ibn Usama Hudhali, said to be named Amir, and also said to be named Zayd, a trustworthy narrator whose hadith is found in the collections of the Group. The hadith was mentioned earlier at 5467, and it is found in Bukhari 2/31 no. 553 Fath, in the chapter on the times of prayer, in Nasai 1/237 no. 474, and in Ibn Khuzayma 1/173 no. 336.
