Ibn Bakr al-Azdi, an ally of Bani Abdul-Muttalib, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up during the noon prayer when he was supposed to sit. When he completed his prayer, he performed two prostrations while seated, before giving the salam, saying the takbir at each prostration. The people prostrated along with him in place of the sitting he had forgotten.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق وابن بكر قالا حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرني ابن شهاب أيضا
وقال ابن بكر الأزدي حليف بني عبد المطلب أن رسول الله ﷺ قام في الظهر وعليه جلوس فلما أتم صلاته سجد سجدتين وهو جالس قبل أن يسلم يكبر في كل سجدة وسجدهما الناس معه مكان ما نسي من الجلوس
Its isnad is sahih, and Ibn Shihab does not narrate it from Ibn Buhayna, but rather Ahmad relates it in this manner in order to show the differences among the narrators, and their differences in the wording.
