The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Four practices from the days of ignorance that people will not abandon are boasting about lineage, attacking the ancestry of others, seeking rain through the stars, and wailing over the dead. As for the wailing woman, if she does not repent before her death, she will be raised on the Day of Resurrection wearing a garment of tar and a shirt of scabs."

قال رسول الله ﷺ أربع من الجاهلية لا يتركن الفخر في الأحساب والطعن في الأنساب والاستسقاء بالنجوم والنياحة والنائحة إذا لم تتب قبل موتها تقام يوم القيامة وعليها سربال من قطران أو درع من جرب
