The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Purification is half of faith. Alhamdulillah fills the scale." Affan added, "And Subhanallah, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar fill what is between heaven and earth." Affan also said, "And Subhanallah and Allahu Akbar." And Affan said, "What is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light, charity is a proof, patience is an illumination, and the Quran is either an argument for you or against you. Every person rises in the morning and trades with his soul, either freeing it or destroying it."
حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق أخبرني أبان بن يزيد وحدثنا عفان قال أخبرنا أبان بن يزيد حدثنا يحيى بن أبي كثير عن زيد بن سلام عن أبي سلام
قال رسول الله ﷺ الطهور شطر الإيمان والحمد لله تملأ الميزان قال عفان وسبحان الله والله أكبر ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر تملأ ما بين السماء والأرض قال عفان وسبحان الله والله أكبر ولا إله إلا الله وقال عفان ما بين السموات والأرض والصلاة نور والصدقة برهان والصبر ضياء والقرآن حجة عليك أو لك كل الناس يغدو فبائع نفسه فموبقها أو معتقها
Its isnad is sahih. Zayd bin Salam bin Abu Salam is trustworthy, and his hadith appears frequently in Muslim, as mentioned before. The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 1/203, no. 223, in Purification. Tirmidhi, 5/535, no. 3517, in Supplications, and he graded it sahih. Nasai, 5/5, no. 2437, in zakat. Ibn Majah, in Purification, 1/102, no. 280. And Darimi likewise, 1/174, no. 653.
