Abu Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are four practices from the days of ignorance that my community will not abandon, boasting about ancestry, seeking rain by the stars, and wailing over the dead. If the wailing woman does not repent before she dies, she will be raised on the Day of Resurrection wearing a garment of tar, over which a shirt of flaming fire will be placed."

قال أبو مالك إن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن في أمتي أربعا من الجاهلية ليسوا بتاركيهن الفخر بالأحساب والاستسقاء بالنجوم والنياحة على الميت فإن النائحة إن لم تتب قبل أن تموت فإنها تقوم يوم القيامة عليها سرابيل من قطران ثم يعلى عليها درع من لهب النار
