It is reported that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, how long will my community enjoy ease and prosperity?"The Prophet ﷺ gave him no answer. The man repeated the question three times, but each time received no reply, so he turned away.Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Where is the questioner? Bring him back to me."When the man returned, the Prophet ﷺ said, "You have asked me about something no one from my community has ever asked me before. The duration of my community's prosperity is one hundred years." He said this twice or three times.The man asked, "Messenger of Allah, will there be any sign, mark, or indication of that?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes, sinkings of the earth, earthquakes, and the unleashing of devils who will stir up turmoil among the people."
حدثنا الحكم بن نافع حدثنا إسماعيل بن عياش عن يزيد بن سعيد عن أبي عطاء السكسكي عن معاذ بن سعد السكسكي عن جنادة بن أبي أمية أنه سمع
يذكر أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله ما مدة أمتك من الرخاء فلم يرد عليه شيئا حتى سأله ثلاث مرار كل ذلك لا يجيبه ثم انصرف الرجل ثم إن النبي ﷺ قال أين السائل فردوه عليه فقال لقد سألتني عن شيء ما سألني عنه أحد من أمتي مدة أمتي من الرخاء مائة سنة قالها مرتين أو ثلاثا فقال الرجل يا رسول الله فهل لذلك من أمارة أو علامة أو آية فقال نعم الخسف والرجف وإرسال الشياطين المجلبة على الناس
