Ibn Abbas was delivering a sermon to us one day after the Asr prayer, and he continued until the sun had set and the stars had appeared. The people began calling out to him, "The prayer! The prayer!" Among the crowd was a man from the tribe of Banu Tamim who kept repeating, "The prayer! The prayer!"Ibn Abbas became angry and said, "Are you trying to teach me the Sunnah? I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ combine Zuhr with Asr, and Maghrib with Isha."Abdullah said, "I felt some unease about this, so I went to Abu Hurayrah and asked him, and he confirmed what Ibn Abbas had said."
