One morning, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up and there was no water in the camp. A man came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, there is no water in the camp."He asked, "Do you have anything?"The man replied, "Yes."He said, "Bring it to me."The man brought him a vessel containing a small amount of water. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his fingers into the mouth of the vessel and spread them apart, and springs of water gushed forth from between his fingers. He then ordered Bilal, saying, "Announce to the people the blessed ablution."

أصبح رسول الله ﷺ ذات يوم وليس في العسكر ماء فأتاه رجل فقال يا رسول الله ليس في العسكر ماء قال هل عندك شيء قال نعم قال فأتني به قال فأتاه بإناء فيه شيء من ماء قليل قال فجعل رسول الله ﷺ أصابعه في فم الإناء وفتح أصابعه قال فانفجرت من بين أصابعه عيون وأمر بلالا فقال ناد في الناس الوضوء المبارك
Its isnad is daif, like the one before it, because of Husayn Ashqar. Ibn Kathir mentioned it in Tarikh 6:97 citing this very passage, and said, "Ahmad alone transmitted it." Tabarani also narrated it through Amir Shaybi from Ibn Abbas in similar wording. Tabarani's version is given at greater length in Majma al-Zawaid 8:299–300, attributed to Tabarani in al-Kabir, and he also has it in al-Awsat, along with Bazzar and Ahmad in shortened form. It was said, "It contains Ata bin Saaib, who suffered a decline in memory in his later years."As for the hadiths about water gushing out from between his fingers, they are established with the certainty of mass transmission, narrated by many companions through numerous sahih chains.
